A Message from the Editor One the Great things about living In Corona is you get the best of two worlds. On one hand you have the modern Corona with high-tech business, new upscale shopping and retail centers, and new state-of-the-art entertainment facilities.

On the other hand though, you still can find the charm of yester-year In Corona. Nothing beats Corona at Fourth of July with a parade down main street, flags flying, kids being pulled in wagons and neighbors laughing and having a good time. It stirs up warm feelings of summers past, eating watermelon, running in sprinklers, and playing tag. The Fourth of July In Corona looks like something you would see in a Norman Rockwell painting and is about as American as apple pie.

I would encourage everyone as we are celebrating over the Fourth of July holiday to take a moment to remember those both past and present that fought so that we have this opportunity to celebrate our freedom in this country and here In Corona.

I would also encourage everyone to save some gas, stay off the over-crowded freeways, and enjoy all of the funtastic family events In Corona! Visit our Community Calendar to learn more.

Fine Dining In Corona
Napa 29 brings Fine Dining to Corona and sets the bar for casual elegance in our city. To find this caliber of dining you used to have to travel to LA, San Francisco, or the Napa wine country but now you can experience this level of excellence right here In Corona.

The atmosphere in Napa 29 is soothing with a feel of a fine dining restaurant that you would find driving along route 29 through the Napa Valley. There is a bar area serving light snacks and their Corona favorite fish tacos. The dining area has a warm feeling with high booths to make your dinner intimate. On Friday and Saturday nights they have live music. On the night my wife and I visited they had light jazz being played at just the right level through our meal.

The quality of the food was incredible and you could instantly taste the difference that sets Napa 29 apart from other restaurants. We enjoyed a scallop appetizer that melted in our mouths. We also enjoyed a cranberry pecan salad that was delicious. Some of Napa 29's favorite entree's include Potato Wrapped Halibut, Peppercorn Steak, and Macadamia Nut Crusted Sea Bass. The portions are of good size and we wished we had left room for dessert.

The staff was attentive but not overly attentive. They were knowledgeable of their menu and helped us in the selection of our meal. All courses arrived hot and right on time. Drinks and bread were kept full throughout the dinner.

After our meal Manger. Alfred Katopodis, took us on a tour of the restaurant. The first thing we noticed was a clean, well organized kitchen with only a small freezer and a very large refrigerator. Napa 29 brings their food in fresh several times throughout the week and you can taste the difference.

The large wine cellar you see as you enter the restaurant is well stocked floor to ceiling with up to 600 of the best wines of the Napa Valley and kept at a constant 55 to 57 degrees. Napa 29 offers wine tasting, corking parties, and has separate banquet rooms for receptions and corporate events.

We can not say enough about the wonderful experience we had at Napa 29 and we would highly suggest Napa 29 for that special evening out. To learn more about Napa 29 and to get a map to the restaurant please visit out Fine Dining page at InCorona.com Fine Dining.
